We’ve entered the final 3 months of Rediscovered Realms’ celebration giveaway contests. With October blowing in, it felt fitting to have Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer join us . . .
This post may contain affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link.
But before we get to all that Witcher goodness, let’s find out who won last month’s Mystery Fantasy Giveaway Contest.
. . . But even before that, here is this week’s new Rediscovered Realms theme song. I felt the urge to create little 80s style Goth Rock. It’s so far one of my absolute favorites - let me know what you think!

Other News from The Realms
The eagle-eyed among you may have already noticed a BRAND NEW FEATURE on our home page: The “Rediscovered Realms Unlocked” Podcast!

Check out the first 3 episodes now and let me know what you think!
Can you guess what the “10 Highest-Grossing Fantasy Movies Of All Time” are?
I was really surprised by several of them (the term “Fantasy” is used a bit loosely here in my opinion and it appears that the Disney Juggernaut has some extraordinary leverage), but at least one of my all-time favorites made the list!
Some Fun Fantasy Merch Picks for UNDER $20 (As an Amazon2 Associate I earn from qualifying purchases)
“Horror, Fantasy, & Sci-Fi Words” Poetry tiles. These fun word magnets may not make you the next Brandon Sanderson, Isaac Asimov or Stephen King, but WILL spark imagination & creativity every time you stick them to your refrigerator, locker, cubicle, or other literary metallic surface!
The Witcher: Ciri MINIX Vinyl Figure by Mego. She doesn’t take up much room at 4.75” tall and is currently on sale for 60% off!
David Day is releasing another cool Tolkien-related book: “An Atlas of Tolkien Deluxe Edition”. Expanded embossed gilt-edged foil-stamped hardcover edition with full color maps & illustrations and vivid descriptions of all the fantastical places of Middle-earth. Releasing October 15th, and also currently on sale.

For any aspiring writers (and creators) out there,
put together a PHENOMENAL Labyrinth-the-movie-themed resource back in June in his newsletter, “Mapping the Labyrinth: A No-Mucking-About Beginner’s Guide to Starting Out as a Writer”(Here’s the rub - it ain’t just for beginners. Shhhh 🤫)
The uber-talented Rachel Hardy and her friend Timothy Shortell wrote “Galadriel’s Song - Song of Eldamar” several years ago but never released it. They recently recorded it, and you just HAVE to hear its emotionally resonant melody.
They crafted it on Tolkien’s beautiful poem from The Fellowship of the Ring, where Galadriel laments her inability to return to Eldamar and its perpetual Springtime.
Interesting video from Shadiversity “How were these tiny parts of MEDIEVAL CASTLES used?”
Shad explores the intriguing window alcove features of medieval castles, which were created due to the thick castle walls as spaces for privacy, reading, writing, and for perhaps even, ahem, doing the horizontal medieval mambo.
And finally, October is here . . . and so is Svengoolie’s MeTV October Schedule! (I was thrilled to see a couple Fantasy films sneak into his roster!)
There are some really fun ones in this list: Son of Frankenstein, The Monster That Challenged the World, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, Fiend Without a Face, House of Wax, Labyrinth, Invaders From Mars, and The Dark Crystal!
Until next week, Companions! You are here for a reason. As Visenna from The Witcher said:
“People linked by destiny will always find each other.” - Visenna
I appreciate you.
