This month’s Giveaway Contest (our biggest giveaway EVER!)
One of the biggest reasons this newsletter exists is to spark that sense of Wonder, Imagination and Fun many of us may have lost at some point over our lives.

I’ll only be reporting one piece of fantasy news this week. It’s with a heavy heart to have to report that fantasy artist legend Greg Hildebrandt, passed away on October 31st.
Known for his iconic work on Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Shannara, Heavy Metal, and Magic: The Gathering, Greg passed on Thursday at 85 leaving behind his beloved wife of 33 years, Jean.
Greg and his twin brother Tim (who passed in 2006), were that most famous & talented fantasy duo — “The Brothers Hildebrandt”.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Farewell, Greg. May your trip to the Undying Lands be swift, and there may your mythic artist’s brush find its way into your hand once more.

A lot of those titles are nostalgic for me. The Fighting Fantasy and Lone Wolf books got me into gaming when I was really young and not too many other kids were slinging dice.

Hildebrandt’s work created the wonder and legend of fantasy for me in my early teens. His work is part of what attracted me to fantasy. RIP
