There's some great gift ideas there and you were not joking about the reading light. That could perfect for my daughter as she loves to end the night reading. Keep up the great work and make sure to give Brodryk a day off after all of sales. I'm sure he'll need it.
Thanks, Eric! I think there were a couple of different covers for that reading light in case your daughter wouldn't like a dragon. I was going to make a video of mine to demo how it works, but ran out of time. Let me know what she thinks of it if you wind up getting one!
There's no rest for the weary - Brodryk is already back at it. I'll let him know some adventurers were asking after him, though.
I'm VERY excited for the new Dragonlance Chronicles edition. In the late 80's (middle school) and early 90's (high school) I was all about Dragonlance, as were my close friends. Our middle school principal noticed us and asked about it, I thought we were going to be in trouble for some reason, but it was quite the opposite. He said he went to college with Tracy Hickman, and was wondering if we wanted to meet him! Just a few weeks later and we were all having lunch with half of our favorite author team! I lived in western Wisconsin, so not super far from the heart of TSR at the time.
Also, I just wanted to say thanks again. I was the fantasy card winner, and they are wonderful.
Dude! That is an awesome story, Michael! How cool you got to meet Tracy Hickman back then (and your principal sounded cool too!)
Reading the Dragonlance chronicles was such a meaningfully pivotal experience in my young life, too. You've probably already seen the early Rediscovered Realms edition I put out that touched on several things Dragonlance, but here it is just in case: https://www.rediscoveredrealms.com/p/dragonlance-calendars-whats-old-is
So glad you like the fantasy cards you won. You're very welcome!
Those sci-fi, fantasy, and horror poetry word tiles look fantastic! I might use them in my classroom (to join with my Shakespeare and Jane Austen poetry tiles... we could get some crazy combos going with all those words!!)
😵 They have Shakespeare and Jane Austen sets! So cool. I have the original vanilla set somewhere around here that I've got to find to join forces.
Do the whiteboards in classrooms still have the metal backing? - you'd have a ton of space for fun with these, then!
Thanks for sharing, Jennifer - hope you get some rejuvanative (is that a real word? - if not maybe we should create a set of magnetic poetry tiles with words that SHOULD exist) time off for the upcoming holidays!
I got the Shakespeare ones ages ago, but I hope they're still in print. The Jane Austen ones a colleague gave to me. And yes, the whiteboards have the metal backing. Last year my kids went wild with Shakespeare poetry. Lots of "saucy knaves" and "methinks" and other funny nonsense.
And thank you! I am definitely going to get rejuvanative time off (and if Shakespeare can make up words, so can you :D). Have a great holiday season, and thank you again for this gift guide!
. . . and that openl.io does Shakespearean, Klingon, Yoda, different types of Latin (vulgar, classical), Gaelic, Ancient Greek, and dozens of others too!!!
Here's some Middle-English for you:
I trowe thy studentes ben fortunat to have a gret techer like thee, Jennifer!

Nice
Love the way Brodryk helped! And cool stuff!
Thanks Robin! Brodryk could sometimes mind his attitude a bit better, but I'm not going to tell him that.
Haha! I hope to see him around more.
Whhooooop!
There were quite a few things there that were awesome. Too many, actually
My only advice is to pace yourself, Hollywood! (You don't want to run out of space in your home like me!)

Love it! Methinks those rapscallion saucy knaves will be the better for it.
