I just recently discovered a really fun adult animated sitcom by Dan Harmon (Community) called “Krapopolis” that I highly recommend. Hannah Waddingham is one of the main voices and every episode has famous guest star voices that add to the fun (Susan Sarandon, Steve Buscemi, and a ton of others!)
“Set in an alternate take of mythical Ancient Greece, the series centers on a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters that tries to run one of the world's first cities without killing each other.”
A 3rd season is slated for September 28th.
It reminds me of another fun fantasy animated adult series, “Disenchanted” that I need to go and catch up on.
On September 2nd, Stephen King is releasing a new Hansel and Gretel book that features artwork by Maurice Sendak (“Where the Wild Things Are”)!

In the fantasy music realm, have you heard of “Castle Rat”? They’re a medieval fantasy doom metal band that you could swear just stepped out of the 1980s! Here’s a couple to check out that feel like you just entered an old school time warp.
“Fresh Fur” - sort of gives me a Doors meets metal feel.
But my favorite is “Wizard” - this one rocks!
Guédelon Castle, in the Puisaye region of north-central France, represents a modern effort to build a thirteenth-century castle using only construction materials and techniques employed by medieval builders and artisans. After several decades, masonry work on the castle’s Chapel Tower (top left) and the adjoining Great Hall is now complete.

For another time warp, have you seen the new movie trailer for the remake of the 1980s cult fantasy B-movie, “Deathstalker”? It looks AWESOME!
And how about this trailer for a 2-part “Robin Hood” series with Sean Bean and Lena Headey coming on November 2nd?
Again, it’s a 2-part series, so this comment really cracked me up!
A recently discovered first edition of The Hobbit brought the author's illustration to people's attention
“Written initially for his own amusement, Tolkien’s tale was a private academic jest that poked gentle fun at the pomposity of archaeologists and the hideousness of college crockery. However, it was at the same time expressing a barbed cri de coeur against the inexorable rise of motor transport that was overwhelming the tranquility of his beloved city. Interest in publishing it in the 1960s ultimately foundered, and the text remained hidden for 60 years.”
