This Week’s Rediscovered Realms Theme Song:
Through crumbling ruins and long-forgotten halls, a pulse of power stirs again. Ancient Echoes carries you on a cinematic adventure where mystery and majesty entwine. Each note is a step deeper into a hidden world — one where relics of unimaginable strength wait to be uncovered by the bold. Do you dare to listen to what the ages still whisper?

The map layout and its dangers are randomly generated each time to make each delve unique. BTW: Rediscovered Realms recently revealed the glorious art of the “Tomb of Horrors” module in this edition: THE ART OF Old School D&D Modules: Tomb of Horrors
I just recently discovered a really fun adult animated sitcom by Dan Harmon (Community) called “Krapopolis” that I highly recommend. Hannah Waddingham is one of the main voices and every episode has famous guest star voices that add to the fun (Susan Sarandon, Steve Buscemi, and a ton of others!)
“Set in an alternate take of mythical Ancient Greece, the series centers on a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters that tries to run one of the world's first cities without killing each other.”
A 3rd season is slated for September 28th.
It reminds me of another fun fantasy animated adult series, “Disenchanted” that I need to go and catch up on.
On September 2nd, Stephen King is releasing a new Hansel and Gretel book that features artwork by Maurice Sendak (“Where the Wild Things Are”)!
“Let Stephen King, global bestselling and award-winning author, and Maurice Sendak, beloved creator of the Caldecott Medal–winning Where the Wild Things Are, guide you into the most deliciously daring rendition of the classic Grimm fairy tale yet. But will you find your way back out?”
Hansel and Gretel is currently on sale for preorder on Amazon

Fantasy art fans will definitely want to check out this article that shows some of the most fantastic & haunting illustrations of Gustave Doré’s Illustrations of Dante’s Divine Comedy
“Doré was 23 years old in 1855, when he first decided to create a series of engravings for a deluxe edition of Dante’s classic.”

Now here’s a headline for you: “Medieval knight 'Lancelot' and his stunning stone tomb found under ice cream shop in Poland”
In the fantasy music realm, have you heard of “Castle Rat”? They’re a medieval fantasy doom metal band that you could swear just stepped out of the 1980s! Here’s a couple to check out that feel like you just entered an old school time warp.
“Fresh Fur” - sort of gives me a Doors meets metal feel.
But my favorite is “Wizard” - this one rocks!

You ever wonder “How To Build A Medieval Castle”? Well, wonder no more.
“The project launched in 1998 with a straightforward mandate: Build a thirteenth-century castle using only thirteenth-century tools, techniques, and materials. Medieval archaeologists would provide guidance. And the hope was that every obstacle would reveal something that historians, architectural researchers, archaeologists, and castellologues, or scholars who specialize in studying castles, didn’t know.”
For another time warp, have you seen the new movie trailer for the remake of the 1980s cult fantasy B-movie, “Deathstalker”? It looks AWESOME!
And how about this trailer for a 2-part “Robin Hood” series with Sean Bean and Lena Headey coming on November 2nd?
Again, it’s a 2-part series, so this comment really cracked me up!

What if I told you some locals in the UK identified a part of their town that they are convinced inspired J.R.R. Tolkien’s vision of Hobbiton? Take a look and decide for yourself.
Speaking of Tolkien, did you know there’s an unknown story that has never been published before that is releasing this November? “The Bovadium Fragments” Together with The Origins of Bovadium” is currently on pre-sale on Amazon.
“Written initially for his own amusement, Tolkien’s tale was a private academic jest that poked gentle fun at the pomposity of archaeologists and the hideousness of college crockery. However, it was at the same time expressing a barbed cri de coeur against the inexorable rise of motor transport that was overwhelming the tranquility of his beloved city. Interest in publishing it in the 1960s ultimately foundered, and the text remained hidden for 60 years.”
