For all our new Adventurers out there, Rediscovered Realms has been celebrating reaching over 3,000 subscribers by rewarding readers with monthly badass fantasy giveaways. For August, I’ve got 432 cards of epic beauty & adventure for you to win!
Those cards bring me back. I remember having a few from each of those sets, along with the DnD card sets, as a kid and just reorganizing them over and over.
The medieval logos were really interesting too. Can't wait to see what other stories you have for us this month.
Nice, Eric! I was a huge collector of cards of all types as a kid, but never was exposed to these fantasy ones back then. Like you, I would reorganize the cards I did have (sports, Star Wars, etc.) over and over into different albums, boxes, etc. Thanks for reading & participating!
Cool, tastoddart53! There's another metallic Boris set I'm reserving for a future giveaway. What I really like about all these different cards (other than the art itself!) is the extra info you usually get on the backs where you get to learn the background, techniques, and stories behind the art.
That special edition of the Dragonlance Chronicles will be getting bought for sure, J.Q.
However, I had to go and check the publication date on my copy of Dragons of Autumn Twilight as I didn’t believe it was 40 years old but clearly it was. Man, time passes fast 😳
The art took me back. I remember buying Dragon 49 and discovering the Brothers Hilderbrandt artwork in '81. I became a huge Dungeons and Dragons fan and spent every cent on the AD & D books and modules. The Dragon magazine covers featured fantastic artwork. Thank you for creating your page, I appreciate all of your effort and look forward to more content.
John - thank you so much for sharing that and for your encouragement! I love that you were a huge fan back then, too. Once I was old enough to have a job & drive, I would try to get to the game store to empty my pockets as often as possible with a carload of friends. We could spend hours there deciding on what to buy - mostly judging by the artwork! Good times.
I always check out the gaming area in bookstores and comic book stores whenever I stop in. It's amazing to see the continued evolution and expansion of the Fantasy gaming and to know that there still an interest in it. I'm not sure how I found your page, but you better believe I'm reading everything you post! Thank you!
<ANNOUNCER VOICE> "And that's not all, Lee. Let me tell you what you also get. Lee, you get the satisfaction of being one of the coolest kids on your block by being a resident of Rediscovered Realms. Your friends and family and workmates will wonder in awe at your newfound confidence, success, and swagger. All it takes is one dose of Rediscovered Realms every Sunday to keep your benefits (and Adventure) Going Strong!" 🎙
What a great set!
Also, I really appreciate the format of your weekly emails.
Thanks, Carlo! 👑
These cards are really beautiful!
If you think they look good, Jeanette, you should hear them sing! 🎶
Another great newsletter! Those fantasy cards look 🔥.
Thanks, Tom! If you wind up winning, be careful where you keep them. You wouldn't want to set your house ablaze. 🧯
I'd take a Nokia into any battlefield past or future.
LOL - Good point, Croaker! 🛡

I have the Boris cards and would love to see the others.

Damn, Dan, don't try to depress me now! 40 years isn't that long . . . is it? ⏳
(Agreed though - there's no way it feels like that long ago)

Awesome - I'm glad you're here, John! 💪
I subscribed to this newsletter because the content looks excellent, and now I get to enter the giveaway too.

I like the medieval Harley Davidson logo
Definitely one of my favorites. I'd love to draw/paint like that one day!
Glad to hear that Greg H is on the mend.
Think I have the Boris set. Need to check my binders.
These cards look beautiful!
