Jim, the usual rules apply. You have been served, err, contacted through your email and have 7 days to claim your prize(s).
Considering I haven’t heard back from the last two goblin assassins sent to gently enforce the previous 2 giveaways, I’m considering them missing in action.
Bobby the Troll has been bugging me to send him so he can prove his love and devotion to the Countess Esma, so he shall assume this duty henceforth.
Go get ‘em, Bobby.

Tell Me About June’s Lone Wolf Grand Giveaway Contest!
“YOU are the sole survivor of a devastating attack on the monastery where you were learning the skills of the Kai Lords. You swear vengeance on the Dark Lords for the massacre of the Kai warriors, and with a sudden flash of insight you know what you must do. You must set off on a perilous journey to the capital city the warn the King of the terrible threat that faces his people.
For you are now the last of the Kai - you are now LONE WOLF”
Those were the first words I read in “Flight from the Dark” by Joe Dever and Gary Chalk upon attaining it from the Scholastic Bookmobile back in elementary school in the 80s.
Epic, right?
Along with other books from Scholastic visits - Fighting Fantasy and Endless Quest books - this Lone Wolf book propelled me further down the path to a lifelong love of Fantasy.
The story, the illustrations and the agency given to us kids were incredible. But that’s a tale for another time.

Tell Me A Little More About These Lone Wolf “Huntress” Books!
In Vassagonia there is a saying: Two things surely will curse you: the keeping of a secret and the seeking of a secret. In your case, you are doubly cursed, for the secret you seek is your own.
- Lone Wolf, The Huntress, “Marked for Death”
Set 50 years before the events from “Flight from The Dark” and the first spin off series since Grey Star, 30 years ago, Jonathan Stark’s trilogy has been getting rave reviews.
The artwork is old school classic - done by Gary Ward (from Fighting Fantasy “Caverns of the Snow Witch”).
I’m in the middle of reading them and HAVING A BLAST.
Jonathan is a lifelong Lone Wolf fan, an extremely active member of the LW community, a regular member of the Magnamund podcast, and really hit it out of the park with his trilogy, re-capturing the feel of Joe Dever’s old school gamebooks and doing honor to the world of Magnamund.
And guess what?
Jonathan will be featured in next week’s Rediscovered Realms newsletter. It’s an interview you don’t want to miss!
See you then.

I was sad to sell my Mongoose copies, but the new editions are beautiful and continue the legacy with class.
Hey JQ,
Grey Star is my favourite series ever. Best combat system of any gamebook Ive ever read. I enjoy the Lone wolf series too and Ive been slowly working my way through the series on my Kindle. It was great of Joe Dever to make them available. RIP.
I heard about the Huntress on Demian's site. I've been looking into it because it sounds awesome. I can't even find it on Amazon.
Great topic as always.
