My college application essay question was, “What person would you like to have dinner with?” My answer was Merlin, which was both genuine and apt since I was applying to the Medieval Studies program. I got accepted, and a lovely welcome letter from the head of the program who later became my advisor. He recommended I read Mists of Avalon, but I never heard of these comics before!

That's awesome, Stace! I bet you will enjoy this comic when you get a hold of one.

Have you ever shared your welcome letter anywhere? It sounds like a really meaningful turning point in your life, and it makes me curious as to what the program head said about you choosing Merlin!

I've never shared it, no -- I'm honestly not sure if I have it still! I'll have to poke around and see if it's still stored somewhere.

Not yet! But I have to dig into some stored boxes tomorrow for another project, so I’ll see if it’s around.

I am definitely more interested in the romantic myth than the (hypothetical) historical reality. Though I find the supporting cast and the world they inhabit more intriguing than Arthur himself.

Also, I loved the song! Who wrote the lyrics and composed the score?

I'm with you, Rebecca. The romantic myth speaks more to human ideals than the gritty reality. It also gives us something to strive towards.

I'm glad you liked the song! I craft the weekly lyrics and melodies with different tools, including AI (and H.I.!) I really like this one as well.

Thanks for commenting and make sure to Keep the Adventure going STRONG!
