Lost to the annals of the ages, Rediscovered Realms has uncovered a Spanish Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon tile game from 1985! Strap on your rollercoaster belts as we join Hank, Diana, Bobby, Sheila, Presto, Eric, Uni, Venger & Dungeon Master to hurtle through “The Tunnel of Time”.
Interesting find. There was quite a bit of "extras" in the Spanish market. I'd say the cartoon D&D was even more popular in Spain than in the US. Spain even produced cartoon DnD action figures in the 1980s.
The more I see, the more I have to agree, Kveto. They still are getting really cool D&D cartoon merch to this day! (I saw some fast food/drink items not too long back)
Knight fights are highly entertaining, actually. Leagues popping up everywhere. I am anxious for some good new shows, but cautiously optimistic. I wasn't thrilled with Wheel of Time 🤷
I'll have to keep an eye out for leagues in my general vicinity. Pretty crazy stuff. I'm with you about the cautious optimism. I look at all fantasy shows/movies derived from books as totally separate creations so I can hopefully enjoy them better. (Doesn't always happen!) Otherwise, the curse of comparison will always spoil my joy. Because of that, I actually liked the WoT shows - the second season better than the first. Brief soapbox moment: I would like most of the fantasy shows A LOT better if there weren't 1.5 - 3.5 year gaps between seasons!!! <steps of soapbox>
As a kid that game would have been the perfect lead into wanting to play more DnD games and it has held up really well for being that old. I'll have to admit I was surprised at how good the Pop Country version sounded. It turned out great.

👴 Hey, who you callin' old?! 😁
I agree - even though fantasy and country don't usually mix, I was impressed at how good this song came out.
Oh I'm calling myself old with that one haha.
