I still think the Dragonlance modules were the best D&D adventures, the novels for them make great reading as well

Those Dragonlance modules were incredibly fun, Jimmy! My brother and I got to play in one or two of them back in the day. The novels were some of the best reading (and most formative experiences) I had as a kid.

Absolutely love getting these newsletters and the nostalgia that comes with them. As a teacher I often suggest fantasy/sci-fi based titles to my students to keep the storyline alive. I really appreciate being a part of this community and all of your hard work putting this together, Mr. G!

Why, Jim, that is really kind of you to express. Some days (and the people that populate them) can grind you down a bit more than others, and today happened to be one of them. Your sentiment lifted my spirits, as I'm sure your fantasy suggestions and leadership do for your pupils. Thank you, sincerely.

Thanks to you, I have already spent about $1000 on eBay auctions buying old D&D stuff. :-) It's nice to go back a few years and relive the newness of adventuring.

LOL Robert! It is an Adventure & truly a lot of fun - just don't wind up in the poorhouse over it (and if you do, make sure your poorhouse has lots of storage!) 😁

This is fabulous! I played a D&D session with the great James "Jim" Ward a couple years ago. That man knew how to run a campaign. And dragons... I think they're always a great adventure test in most fantasy sessions.

Wow - that's awesome you got to play with Jim Ward! (R.I.P.)

He enjoyed truly throwing everything terrifying at us, but complimented my choice of flattery of a pimp king in the adventure. It was great lol

I was shopping around online for some Wheel of Time books as mine were lost to an ex many moons ago and I came across this, I’m crossing all my digits.. Hope you reveal the winner soon as it’s very hard to make tea like this

😁 Welcome, Sara! The end of the contest is coming to a close very soon, and the winner will be announced on June 9th. Might I suggest creating a large batch of tea now to last the next 10 days - before your affliction becomes any worse?

I am looking forward to some new reads for my D&D adventures. I have been a fan of Dragonlance for, well, since, I was 16, and I am in my 50's now.

This all sounds great, but I’m particularly keen on the Dragonlance, ‘Dragons of Fate’ book. I recently borrowed these two ‘Destina’ books from the library on a whim; loved them! And this has now kickstarted a journey through the entire D&D literature back-catalogue.

Right on, Matthew! 💪 You'll have a lot to read for sure. Beyond the Dragonlance Chronicles, Tales, etc. make sure the Icewind Dale trilogy (starting with "The Crystal Shard") is in your backlist if you haven't read it already!

I honestly think Stardew Valley with Hobbits is probably the best take on LOTR in games in a very long time.

I never played Stardew Valley, but with the laid back Middle-earth re-skin, I'm totally going to play!
