BTW: Back in renaissance Venice, there were these gaping-mouthed metal or stone “post office” boxes embedded in the walls throughout the city, each one called “Bocca di Leone” (“Lion’s Mouth”).
The idea was that Venetians could rat-out their fellow citizens by dropping anonymous tips into these boxes.
BUT . . . the legend was that if you were lying, the mouth would bite your hand off!
It’s been 2 weeks since then, and Acererak’s smooth sack (keep it clean now) has been sitting on my desk waiting to be unleashed.
Ready to see what’s inside?
Each Dungeons & Dragons Acererak’s Treasure Pack Dice Set contain the following:
They appear to be called: “Tahitian Sunset” and are considered a slight cut above as UNCOMMON.
If Acererak’s orifice wasn’t so stingy, it could have been possible to get a RARE “Illusory Metal” set like this:
But as cool as those are, they aren’t the most valuable. That honor goes to the “Arctic Grove Limited Edition” and “Sapphire Grove Limited Edition” LEGENDARY sets. Looks like they are valued around $180.
My “Tequila Sunrise”, er, “Tahitian Sunset” dice value?
$15.99
Not quite the equivalent of the purchase price, but hey, I had fun and got a cool coin & dice bag as part of the purchase!
How about you?
Are you willing to risk a saving throw against Lich Halitosis for some potentially powerful artifacts that can change your (gaming) life?

That’s another week, Brave Companions! As this year wraps and we hasten towards the next, I’ll be sitting down and spending some time goalsetting & designing as many upcoming glorious 2024 life adventures as possible.
There are so many big treasures I am seeking. But, when life provides some seemingly meager artifact, instead of disappointment, I resolve to recall to mind that sage old advice, “Don’t look a gift lich in the mouth”.
